Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

- Technical Diploma or Degree as well as sales courses / diploma or continuous development
- > 3 years' experience in Key Accounts Management and Solar PV technologies
- Sales Background / Advanced Selling / Key Accounts Management / Customer Centric Approach / Client Relationship Skills
- High level of experience with MS Office and CRM platforms, attention to detail / good punctuality
- Knowledge of the Solar Industry, Competitor Products, Solutions and Services
- A basic understanding of electrical concepts, including Direct Current up to 1000VDC, and Alternating Current, both LV and MV, single and three phase
- Understanding of Electrical DC Storage methods (eg Batteries, UPS)
- PV system design, including string sizing, inverter specification

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Identifying and onboarding potential partners (System Integrators/EPCs & Distributors) through scouting visits and phone calls
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by identifying and targeting potential residential and commercial solar energy customers
- Educate customers on the benefits of solar energy and provide tailored solar solutions to meet their energy needs
- Conduct site assessments and offer expert advice on system design, sizing, and installation options
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and quotations to prospective customers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management and installation teams, to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation
- Stay up to date on solar industry trends, policies, and incentives to provide accurate and informed information to customers
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets; Project Management
- Ensure that CRM data is up to date and that project forecasting is accurate
- Manage and coordinate large projects until completed, being the central point of contact for the business partner and internal departments
- Regularly review and update the project schedule to identify potential delays and take corrective actions to prevent schedule slippage
- Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain a well-organised sales pipeline, tracking leads at various stages, updating status of opportunities regularly and communicating the customers needs to all relevant departments,
- Customer Agreements and Discount Schedules Working with the Energy & Marketing Director to ensure all key customers have valid and signed agreements
- Discount schedules must also be checked to ensure that all customers get the correct discount levels and access to all the products they need to run / grow their businesses
- Marketing and Training
- Represent the business within industry bodies and be an active member of the renewable energy community
- Organize monthly training events in your region (and later Southern Africa)
- Organize and attend joint training and trade events with our customers
