Technical Sales Engineer

Responsibilities:

- Identify new business opportunities.
- Provide tailored solutions to customers through building strong relationships and understanding customers needs.
- Service and grow existing customer base; including cold calling.
- Manage inter-branch stock transfers and administration in line with company processes.
- Full stock control function; customer stock maintenance and stock holding; maintain an orderly stockroom, categorize inventory effectively, and follow stock control processes.
- Manage and implement well-organized systems to improved inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed targets.
- Grow sales volume within existing customer base.
- Keep all necessary paperwork and records of relevant daily sales activities up to date.
- Identify opportunities and conduct tests, demonstrations and presentations to showcase product quality and benefits to customers.
- Work closely with the sales team, nationally, and other key departments.
- Attend individual and branch performance meetings with management to determine progress regarding agreed KPIs.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to capitalize on new opportunities.

Requirements:

- Matric.
- Relevant qualifications advantageous.
- Experience working with manufacturing machines, including but not limited to CNC, milling, lathes, etc.
- Experience in the cutting tools industry and understanding of carbide cutting tools and applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven sales record; selling carbide tooling products an advantage.
- Self-driven, dynamic and results-driven.
