The ideal candidate:

- At least 3 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or similar high-end establishment.
- Calm under pressure with the ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene standards, with a commitment to maintaining exceptional cleanliness and safety in all kitchen areas.
- Proven experience in food costing, inventory management, and financial reporting.
- A collaborative, approachable leader who fosters a positive team dynamic and encourages staff development.
- Passionate about creating high-quality, honest food with a focus on innovation and guest satisfaction.
- Comfortable engaging with guests and representing the kitchen in front of house.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership & Management: Lead and inspire a team of chefs and kitchen team, ensuring smooth, efficient, and consistent kitchen operations across all dining outlets.
- Menu Development & Execution: Oversee the creation and execution of menus. Ensure high standards and consistency of food quality and presentation are always maintained.
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily kitchen activities, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and served to the highest standards. This includes overseeing our meeting venue kitchensCamphor, Oak, and Birch Boardroomsensuring the needs of both large and small groups are met.
- Hygiene & Safety Compliance: Take full responsibility for the cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen areas, ensuring strict adherence to food safety and health regulations. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with the highest standards.
- Financial Oversight: Manage food costing, inventory control, and reporting. Ensure that food budgets are adhered to while maintaining the quality and presentation of dishes.
- Team Development: Mentor and train kitchen staff, providing ongoing guidance and support to foster a positive, professional, and collaborative environment. Encourage growth within the team while maintaining high standards of performance.
- Guest Engagement: Build strong connections with guests by engaging with them during service periods, demonstrating a genuine passion for food and enhancing their dining experience.
- Collaboration: Work alongside the Food & Beverage Manager and other internal teams to ensure seamless service and a consistent, high-quality guest experience.
