Icebolethu Group is currently in search of a Head of Training Academy who will provide guidance and thought leadership in the design and implementation of critical components of the Business' Talent, Learning and Development and Academy strategies to create integrated and optimal learning and talent experiences in alignment with Icebolethu Group of Companies Business Strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

Minimum Qualifications:

- Post graduate Degree / Honours in HR / HRD and Behavioural Sciences
- Registration with Professional Board (SABPP) at Chartered LEVEL preferred
- Registration as Industrial Psychologist / Psychometrist will be advantageous
- Registration as Skills Development facilitator, Moderator and/or Assessor will be advantageous

Experience and Knowledge required:

Minimum of 5 years’ management experience in Talent, Learning and Development, in a corporate entity or business and preferably in Financial Services Sector/ Burials Services/ Catering/ Security environment.

Skills and Competencies required:

Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel is essential.

Key Performance Areas:

Training Academy Management:

- Establishing of the Training Academy as a revenue generation entity
- Develop, establish and deliver professional and marketable training and development programs
- Obtain and maintain accreditation of the training Academy programs including assessor and moderator courses
- Market and source opportunities for income generation for the Academy and ensure financial sustainability

Formulation and Implementation of Strategy and Operational Plans:

- Review, benchmark, compile and implement best practice Talent, Learning and development policies, practices, procedures and systems
- Compile and implement Human Resource Development Long, Medium- and Short-Term Operational Plans in order to ensure the achievement of broader Human Resources and Business objectives and goals

Managing the Provision of Expert Talent Identification and Retention:

- Design, develop and implement Talent Identification, Development and Management Framework
- Collaborate with Business in developing sustainable human capital pipeline to meet future needs of the Icebolethu Group of Companies
- Develop and facilitate implementation Succession Plans by taking into account Key Competencies and Skills' Business needs through the process of Talent reviews
- Design and develop HR tools and instruments for use in the process of identification of Talent, High Potential (HiPOs)
- Facilitate the identification of critical talent pool within the Organization by engaging with relevant Leadership
- Provide guidance on Icebolethu Group wide psychometric assessments for talent acquisition and development purposes
- Drive change management and Transformation initiatives relating to the launch of new Talent solutions and in consultation with Organizational Effectiveness Unit, in order to determine the most appropriate change approach depending on the scale of the intervention and the target audience

Managing the Provision of Learning and Development:

- Determine organizational training needs analysis, development and implementation of skills and competency matrix/profiles
- Compile Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Reports and the submission thereof
- Apply and obtain SETA mandatory grants, discretionary grants, project funding and other funding to minimize training and development costs while maximizing return on investment
- Build relationships with training and development-related suppliers, SETA's, stakeholders, and capitalize on such to maximize training and development opportunities
