As an Account Executive at Professional Career Services, you will be responsible for building a client base through identifying potential clients, presenting them with suitable product proposals, and confirming policy sales. You will build relationships with clients to ensure retention of business and facilitate new business. An extensive knowledge of products and providers is necessary. The Account Executive is responsible for complete and accurate administration related to all policies and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • To uphold and support the company mission, service strategy, and values of client service, professionalism, performance, innovation, and partnership.
  • To set KPIs for the balance scorecard in conjunction with the reporting manager.
  • To prepare performance appraisals as required.
  • To achieve and maintain FAIS requirements for the position.
  • To keep abreast of developments to the position.
  • To continually work towards further self-development.
  • To complete administration related to the job accurately and on time.
  • To maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date files for each policyholder.
  • To maintain a current client database.
  • To complete records and renewals accurately and timeously.
  • To develop relationships with customers, whether internal or external.
  • To maintain a high level of customer service in line with objectives to facilitate customer retention and new business opportunities.
  • To develop relationships with relevant company employees in other departments/branches.
  • To identify and follow up on leads in conjunction with the representative or JV partners.
  • To develop a client base through active networking to find potential clients.
  • To conduct client needs analyses through interviews and/or inspections.
  • To explain features, advantages, and disadvantages to clients and close sales.
  • To identify the best product(s) and propose them to clients.
  • To calculate premiums and establish payment methods.
  • To determine risks through inspections and/or analysis of data.
  • To fulfill policy requirements such as documentation.
  • To prepare worksheets for policies and enter them into the system.
  • To notify the underwriting and accounts department timeously of policy activations and cancellations.
  • To update existing policies and claims to reflect changes and inform the underwriter.
  • To notify clients of any changes by insurer/brokerage and vice versa.
  • To maintain extensive knowledge of all classes of insurance offered to clients and related products.
  • To maintain knowledge of insurers and their products.
  • To propose ideas for new products.
  • To gather and communicate competitor information.
Requirements

RE required: Yes. Qualifications required: Industry-related credits and Class of Business (Fit and Proper) Supervision completed: Yes.

Skills

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Short Term Insurance Sales/Accounts Executive/Broker role within Commercial Short Term Insurance Space. Excellent communication and interaction skills. Attention to detail. Proven sales and marketing skills. High level of administration skills (filing/record keeping). Ability to analyze and take decisions. Sound knowledge of insurance products and insurers. Knowledge of the insurance industry in general.
