Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading publisher in the healthcare industry and contribute to the success of our online health journal. As a Senior Editor, you will be responsible for overseeing the editorial process, from manuscript submission to publication. You will work closely with authors, reviewers, and editors to ensure that our journal publishes high-quality, innovative research that makes a meaningful contribution to the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage peer review processes to ensure high-quality research is published.
  • Commission authors to produce high-quality content.
  • Develop relationships with regional health professionals to attract high-quality research.
  • Represent the journal at conferences and events.
  • Write editorials and other content for the journal.
  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives for the journal.

Requirements

  • A medical degree in a relevant discipline or a PhD in a related subject field with postdoctoral research experience.
  • Extensive editorial experience, at Editor or senior level, with a good understanding of all aspects of the editorial process and journal production.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently to demanding deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and build relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of the English language and ability to write engaging and interesting content.
  • Proficient with IT systems including MS Office.
