We are seeking a highly skilled Media Director to join our team at HAVAS MEDIA SOUTH AFRICA (PTY) LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for building Media Experience (Mx) for client portfolios on their channel(s) of expertise, in alignment with Mx Brief and Mx Development guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Mx plans that meet client objectives and drive business growth.
  • Manage a team of channel experts and work closely with the trading team to ensure smooth campaign execution.
  • Collaborate with the Audience Architect and Mx Creative lead to activate the right audience on channels and materialize suggested ideas.
  • Ensure client satisfaction with campaign delivery and performance.
  • Contribute to cross-media operations and lead on channel expertise, alongside the Media Development Director.
  • May instruct digital media buying and manage a team of channel experts.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in media planning, preferably in a media agency or trading desk.
  • Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or Advertising.
  • Advanced English language skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Understanding of business, taking initiative, focusing on performance, and media planning and buying.
  • Media planning and buying, Mx champion (Connection, Context, Content), programmatic, data processing and management, and marketing strategy.

Technical Skills:

  • Planning tools (i.e. Polaris Suite).
  • Operational performance management tools (Pilot, IOMT).
  • Business intelligence software (i.e. Tableau, Datorama, Power BI).
  • Advertising technologies (i.e. ad servers, ad platforms).

Contract Type: Permanent
