About the Role
  • This role involves overseeing the implementation and administration of our compliance framework and processes across all branches.

You will work closely with regional managers and agents to ensure compliance and provide guidance on FICA, PEP, PIP, Sanctions and Adverse Media Screening. Your expertise in risk assessment and mitigation will be instrumental in identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the administration of FICA process across all branches;
  • Coordinating PEP, PIP, Sanctions and Adverse Media Screening for required parties;
  • Reviewing risk ratings and ensuring management control forms are completed;
  • Escalating suspicious activities/transactions to management/compliance;
  • Providing guidance on client identification and verification requirements;
  • Assessing KYC documents and requesting additional information if necessary;
  • Ensuring record keeping standards are met for all branches;
  • Communicating offsite storage arrangements to compliance;
  • Verifying that all offices use correct and up-to-date forms, contracts and letterheads;
  • Ensuring Annexure 1 compliance and sending branch agent and staff copies to HR;
  • Performing TFS and UNSC screening of clients/counterparties and saving records on Alchemy;
  • Reviewing cash deposits to ensure timely CTRs;
  • Managing confidential information in accordance with PGP POPI policies;
  • Completing Risk and Compliance Returns for all branches;
  • Fulfilling Money Laundering Reporting Officer duties when necessary.
Requirements
  • Matric or higher qualification;
  • Para-legal diploma/certificate or Bachelor's degree in Law (undergraduate) advantageous;
  • Previous experience in Real Estate and/or familiarity with PGP sales and rentals processes beneficial;
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience working in compliance environment.
