We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Customer Services Department at TFG Financial Services. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff members and ensuring that the operating procedures for the department are understood and adhered to.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of staff members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure that the operating procedures for the department are understood and adhered to, and that standards/key performance indicators for the department are met and periodically reviewed.
  • People Management: Maximize people productivity by adhering to people management processes, including coaching, audits, and addressing disciplinary issues.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that company and department policies, procedures, and compliance aspects are adhered to.
  • Employee Engagement and Development: Create a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction, and coach and mentor team members to improve performance and promote career growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement customer service strategies that enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate team performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and develop action plans to address any gaps.
Requirements
  • Education: Matric
  • Experience: Previous supervisory experience and proven customer services experience (at least 2 years in a call centre environment)
  • Skills: Working knowledge of credit or retail systems, computer literacy (MS Word & Excel), and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Desirable: Vision, Odyssey, and UIP experience, IR experience, and ability to work under pressure
