We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef De Partie to join our culinary team at MSC Cruises. Key Responsibilities:
- Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, in compliance with company operating standards and public health regulations.
- Inventory Management: Supervise the stock control and inventory of food and equipment, ensuring that all items are properly stored and accounted for.
- Team Leadership: Coach, train, and motivate team members to achieve departmental goals, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Menu Planning: Plan and cost menus, and trial new dishes and products to ensure that they meet our high standards.
- Event Planning: Organize special events and food promotions in coordination with the Specialty Restaurant Chef.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the inventory and maintenance of F&B equipment, ensuring that all items are in good working order.
- Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and galley, ensuring that all equipment and surfaces are clean and sanitized.
Requirements:
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Certifications: Certified in Food Safety/HACCP.
- Experience: 1 year of work experience in a similar role, with previous cruise ship experience required.
- Skills: Proven ability to work in a harmonious and productive team environment, with demonstrated understanding and practical knowledge of food safety.
