Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Planning: Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver curriculum that aligns with educational standards and supports the growth of young learners.
2. Instructional Delivery: Utilize diverse teaching methods to create an inclusive and interactive learning environment that caters to different learning styles.
3. Classroom Management: Establish a positive and organized classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, encourages positive behaviour, and supports learning.
4. Assessment and Evaluation: Regularly assess learners using various assessment techniques and adapt teaching strategies to meet their needs.
5. Individual Support: Identify learners who require additional support and provide tailored instruction or intervention to promote their academic and social development.
6. Communication: Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
7. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay updated with educational best practices and enhance teaching.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Holds a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Foundation Phase.
- SACE registered.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with team members.
- Computer literate and excellent time management skills.
- Good Interpersonal/People/Emotional Intelligence Skills
