Job Description

The main objective of this position is to provide the group with on-trend, on-brand, and environmentally friendly aesthetic and design services, procurement, and advice. The position requires adaptability, hands-on approach, and attention to detail in all allocated projects and briefs.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Implementation and upkeep of interior design manuals and guidelines
  • Sourcing new suppliers, products, and maintaining good relationships with current suppliers
  • Ensuring the chairman has physical and administrative backup on interior and design briefs, projects
  • Detailed handovers on all briefs
  • Conceptionalising and drawing up plans of mood boards and implementation
  • Briefing and traffic handling of all designs to the design team, including meeting deadlines of the brief
  • Liaising with design suppliers to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Visiting properties and identifying possible weak spots in existing design material and making enhancement suggestions
  • Evaluating sensory experiences of hotels and recommending and implementing changes as required and briefed
  • Assisting with service level training when requested
  • Managing interior briefs from brief to final execution and handover
  • Managing annual interior maintenance programs
  • Determining costs of completion and project requirements in the budgeting phase
  • Setting timelines for completion of projects

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design or related field
  • Portfolio of design work
  • Project management experience
  • Highly creative, imaginative, and artistic individual with minimum 2 years' experience in the luxury hotel sector
