Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Screen Printer Operator to join our dynamic team at Black Pen Recruitment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating screen printing equipment to produce high-quality prints on various materials, including stretch fabrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Stretching mesh and making screens, including preparing positives and negatives.
  • Exposing and developing screens to ensure they are ready for printing.
  • Regularly maintaining and troubleshooting screen printing equipment to prevent any downtime.
  • Operating screen printing equipment to produce high-quality prints on various materials, including stretch fabrics.
  • Mixing inks and performing color matching to meet the company's specific requirements.
  • Setting up screen print runs, ensuring proper alignment and minimizing errors to reduce material wastage.
  • Operating a heat press to apply digital and vinyl transfers onto stretch fabrics.
  • Utilizing knowledge of the dye sublimation process and operating a dye sublimation press if needed.
  • Ensuring that the dye sublimation and transfer processes result in high-quality prints with vibrant and accurate colors.
  • Meeting tight production deadlines, including the willingness to work overtime when necessary.
  • Prioritizing tasks to maintain production efficiency while ensuring high-quality output.
  • Performing routine maintenance on all screen printing and heat press equipment.
  • Managing inventory of inks, screens, and other materials to minimize wastage and ensure continuous production flow.
  • Inspecting final prints for quality and accuracy, ensuring that all prints meet the company's standards before they are shipped out.
  • Implementing quality control measures to identify and correct any issues in the production process.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in making positives and making screens, stretching of mesh, etc.
  • Proficient in exposing and developing screens, operating screen printing equipment to produce high-quality prints on various materials.
  • Strong knowledge of screen printing techniques, ink mixing, and color matching.
  • Skilled in preparing and setting up screen print runs and ensuring accurate screen print alignment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, maintain equipment and materials, and perform routine maintenance.
  • Meeting tight production deadlines, including working overtime.
  • Ability to operate a heat press.
  • Working with digital and vinyl transfers onto stretch fabrics.
  • Knowledge of the dye sublimation process.
  • Ability to operate a dye sublimation press will be advantageous.
  • Minimizing material wastage.
  • Own reliable transport.
  • Available immediately.
