Relationship Development Specialist – Durban or Umhlanga

We are seeking a highly skilled Relationship Development Specialist to join our team at Headhunters in Durban or Umhlanga. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting Portfolio Managers and delivering exceptional client services.

**Job Summary:**

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a customer-centric approach. You will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, ensuring data integrity, and providing top-notch support to our Portfolio Managers and clients.

**Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Advisor offices and central operations to ensure seamless client onboarding and mandate completion.
  • Implement administrative processes and controls in the office, including transaction management, reporting, and query resolution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring efficient delivery of client requirements on behalf of the Portfolio Manager(s).
  • Maintain accurate records, capturing client data, and uploading documents to xPlan.
  • Prepare client briefs for Portfolio Managers' appointments, identifying client needs and coordinating with central operations as needed.
  • Support marketing efforts by assisting with client events, preparing welcome packs, and distributing relevant materials.
  • Ensure record-keeping compliance with business rules and legislative requirements.

**Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Xplan, DMA, Marble, and OPUS is an advantage.
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Relevant tertiary education or courses completed.
  • Knowledge of FAIS and FICA legislation.
  • Understanding of share portfolio processes, including account setup, transfers, dividends, corporate actions, and client statements.
