Data Centrix is seeking a skilled Desktop Engineer Junior to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues. Your duties will include responding to and resolving helpdesk tickets, troubleshooting system errors, and installing and maintaining computer systems and software. You will also be responsible for assisting with user account management, documenting issues and resolutions, and escalating complex issues to higher-level support when necessary. Additionally, you will provide on-site or remote after-hours assistance as required and ensure that users are informed of the status of their requests. **Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide technical support to users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
* Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets in a timely manner.
* Troubleshoot system errors, connectivity problems, and application issues.
* Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software.
* Assist with user account management, including password resets and access.
* Document issues and resolutions to maintain accurate records of support activities.
* Escalate complex issues to higher-level support when necessary.
* Provide on-site or remote after-hours assistance as required.
* Ensure users are informed of the status of their requests and deliver excellent customer service.

**Requirements:**

* Matric qualification
* IT experience qualification essential
* Driver's license essential
