Fleet Manager Job Description

Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Fleet Manager to oversee the company's fleet of vehicles in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the fleet, adhering to all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal utilization and compliance with regulations.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to minimize downtime and ensure productivity.
  • Optimize vehicle use to maximize productivity and minimize costs, while maintaining a high level of vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Monitor and track vehicle performance and maintenance records, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with vehicle suppliers and service providers, ensuring the best possible deals.
  • Supervise and train fleet personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Prepare and analyze fleet performance reports, providing insights to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to supervise and train team members.
  • Proficiency in using fleet management software, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
