About the Company
Our client is a well-established player in the food production industry, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality products. They are now seeking a skilled National Sales Manager to lead their sales team and drive revenue growth.
Sales Strategy & Business Development:
• Develop and implement a national sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the food production industry.
• Conduct market research to track industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in food production companies.
Key Account Management:
• Manage and expand relationships with major food production clients.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms to drive profitability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Sales Team Leadership & Development:
• Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
• Set and monitor performance targets & KPIs for sales staff.
• Conduct regular coaching sessions, sales meetings, and performance reviews.
Operational & Financial Management:
• Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
• Oversee the national sales budget, including forecasting and expense control.
• Collaborate with supply chain, marketing, and production teams to optimize operations.
Requirements
• National Diploma in Sales & Marketing, BSc Food Science, or BTech in Food Technology/Biotechnology preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in sales management within the food production or food ingredients sector.
• Proven ability to develop sales strategies, drive revenue growth, and manage national key accounts.
• Experience in leading high-performing sales teams and working within a target-driven environment.
• Strong knowledge of CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel nationally as required.
• Valid drivers license.
