Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Regional Business Development Manager in our Cape Town office. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in account management and supply chain optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement customer strategies aligned with company objectives, ensuring retention and growth of key accounts.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Foster strategic partnerships by identifying opportunities for collaboration and negotiation of commercial agreements.
    • Manage internal business functions to ensure compliance with agreed KPIs and customer needs.
  • Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue expansion opportunities within your area of responsibility, aligning The Legends Agency's business capabilities with customer needs.
    • Negotiate commercial agreements and rate reviews to maintain profitability.
  • Supply Chain Efficiencies:
    • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to deliver efficiencies and negotiate improvements with customers.
    • Optimize supply chains by building and maintaining relationships between the Supply Chain team and customers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • 3 years of account or general administration experience, preferably in an FMCG environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to set and implement strategic objectives.
  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills to identify opportunities and solve problems effectively.
  • Negotiation: Proven experience in negotiating commercial agreements and rate reviews.
  • Supply Chain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of supply chain processes and S&OP management.
Estimated Salary Range:

R 60,000.00 - R 80,000.00 per month, depending on experience.

Geographic Scope:

This role will cover Durban and surrounding regions, with national interactions as needed.
