About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of Project Development and Strategy to join our team at JUWI AG. As a key member of our Project Development Department, you will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of our renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Development and Strategy
    • Assist the Head of Department in refining and implementing the company's strategy to meet the needs of identified markets.
    • Develop and manage the department's strategies to ensure optimal project, business, and commercial development.
    • Lead contract negotiations for project development and EPC sales opportunities.
  • Department Management
    • Assist the Head of Department in managing the department to deliver on the company's business plan.
    • Develop and implement processes to optimize project development and business development activities.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and manage large interdisciplinary technical teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and suppliers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or Natural Science.
  • Strong commercial mindset with a solid understanding of project and corporate finance concepts.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the renewable energy project development sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven track record in closing project sales agreements.
  • Experience in managing large technical teams and developing training programs.
  • Strong understanding of the renewable energy industry, its drivers, KPIs, and decision processes.
  • Strong existing network in the renewable energy sector.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
Desirable Attributes
  • Financial modeling experience.
  • Experience in energy policy and industry associations.
  • Understanding of utility regulatory environments.
