Business Development Specialist

West Coast Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Business Representative to join our team. As a Business Representative, you will play a crucial role in supporting various functions within Sales and Marketing, including Sales, Administration, Stock Control, Compliance, and Customer Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with existing and new customers to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies and promotional activities to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
- Manage credit applications and debt collection processes to ensure timely and efficient payment.
- Ensure company assets are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Liaise with the Warehouse team to ensure stock availability and optimize inventory levels.
- Monitor buying patterns and forecast stock needs to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
- Manage stock rotations and replenishments to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Operate within established controls and procedures to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
- Report risks and ensure compliance with regulations to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Maintain effective relationships with customers and stakeholders through excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Resolve customer queries and issues promptly and professionally.
- Provide training and updates on products and services to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support the efficient use of financial resources to maximize profitability.
- Monitor pricing structures and gross profit to optimize revenue and profitability.
- Optimize company resources and reduce operational costs to improve efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum requirement of Diploma/Certificate (NQF 5) or equivalent.
- Up to 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and ERP Systems.
- Proactive, problem-solving, customer-focused, and strong communication skills.
