Job Title: Commercial Analyst

Electrum Payments is a leading enterprise payments technology company that partners with some of South Africa's largest listed enterprises to enable them to open up their customers' access to payments. We're looking for a talented Commercial Analyst to join our team and help shape and implement market-facing pricing strategies.

The Opportunity

The Commercial Analyst will be responsible for growing and managing strategic relationships within the payments ecosystem while shaping and implementing market-facing pricing strategies. This role aims to position our offerings prominently with key stakeholders and partners to maximise mutual benefits, drive business growth, and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic partnership initiatives that align with Electrum Payments' objectives and drive mutual growth.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify pricing trends, benchmark against industry competitors, and inform pricing strategies.
  • Utilise advanced analytical tools and techniques to analyse financial data, including revenue trends, cost structures, and profitability metrics, to develop pricing models that emphasise value delivery.
  • Implement statistical and predictive modelling techniques to forecast transaction volumes, pricing elasticity, and revenue impacts.
  • Support the pursuit and execution of new business opportunities by identifying market trends and developing strategies that drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field. A Professional designation is preferable.
  • Postgraduate degree in Commerce or Finance
  • Referencable experience in commercial strategy, revenue management, or related roles within the financial services or technology sector
Skills
  • Referencable experience in developing and executing market-facing pricing strategies.
  • Experience in market research, data analytics, and financial modeling.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and competitive dynamics.
