POSITION OVERVIEW

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate eager to join a dynamic fintech organization. The Business Credit Analyst role involves overseeing our credit evaluation process, which requires a blend of analytical skills and numerical proficiency, along with regular interaction with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with clients to confirm their financial and credit transactions, assess business performance, and request additional information as necessary.
  • Assessing clients' credit and financial data to determine the risk level associated with lending.
  • Documenting assessments regarding the risk of lending to clients.
  • Analyzing client records and utilizing data to recommend decisions.
  • Evaluating clients' financial health by interpreting financial ratios generated by proprietary software.
  • Assisting supply chain and Sales and Marketing teams in managing financial orders to mitigate credit risk.
  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the lending platform, particularly the origination module.
  • Collaborating closely with the Head of Credit Underwriting and Credit Team Leader on issue resolution, ensuring customer concerns are tracked, addressed, and followed up.
  • Utilizing innovative ideas and solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring both expressed and underlying requirements are fulfilled.
  • Staying informed about the latest technological advancements and technical issues affecting your accounts.
  • Conducting other essential operational tasks related to the regular monitoring of the portfolio.
  • Participating in any additional projects as required to support the team.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Matric/Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • Completed degree in finance, accounting, or economics, or equivalent qualification.
  • Some experience in commercial or SME credit is preferred.
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences that exceed expectations.
