About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team at SW SECURITY SOLUTIONS SA PTY LTD.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall corporate budgeting preparation, financial management and financial monitoring processes. They will also perform financial analysis, reporting and management activities, including reviewing financial data for accuracy, correctness and completeness.

The role will involve hiring and training new employees on financial operations, participating in performance evaluation of finance staff and conducting counselling sessions to identify skill development needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budgeting and Financial Management:
  1. Oversight of corporate budgeting preparation, financial management and financial monitoring processes.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
  1. Financial analysis, reporting and management activities.
  2. Review of financial data for accuracy, correctness and completeness.
  3. Generation of financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses, etc.
  4. Preparation and submission of annual financial statements.
Human Resources:
  1. Hiring and training of new employees on financial operations.
  2. Performance evaluation of finance staff and counselling sessions to identify skill development needs.
  3. Accurate calculation and distribution of salaries and other benefits to employees.
Financial Management:
  1. Financial control of Head Office and coordination of financial activities of all entities through relevant departmental heads.
  2. Monitoring and management of all expenses within allotted budgets.
Strategic Analysis:
  1. Establishment of key financial strategies to enhance business profitability.
Legal and Regulatory:
  1. Ensure compliance with institutions' policies and regulations.
  2. Compliance with tax laws and regulations, as well as finance-related regulations, guidelines and codes of best practice.
Systems and Procedures:
  1. Development of standard and new accounting procedures to improve financial operations efficiency.
Review and Reconciliation:
  1. Review of annual budgets and recommendation of any changes if needed.
  2. Assistance in account payable and receivable activities.
  3. Account reconciliation activities.
Forecasting and Foresight:
  1. Establishment of accurate forecasts regarding expenses and revenues and management of regular reporting requirements.
  2. Input into New Business initiatives.
Audit:
  1. Preparation of financial system and documentation for external annual audit.
Management Activities:
  1. Control of finances for Branches & Divisions, including visits for financial/administrative matters, financial management, travel arrangements.
  2. Financial management of Website-related activities.
  3. Administration, financial management of data and execution of strategic planning activities in relation to finance.
  4. Financial management of staff & staff benefits and staff stationed at Branches & Divisions.
Administrative:
  1. Attendance at Executive Board meetings and implementation of decisions related to matters of finance.
  2. Liaison with auditors in relation to preparing for annual general audit.
  3. Ad hoc administration duties.
  4. Tax and other legislative submissions.
  5. Monthly EMP201 reconciliation and submissions.
  6. Performance of VAT submissions for all entities.
  7. EMP501 reconciliations and submission.
  8. Preparation and submission of IRP5s.
Requirements
  • Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting or a related field.
Professional Certification:
  1. Chartered Accountant (CA) certification or equivalent.
Experience:
  1. Minimum 5 years of practical work experience as a Financial Manager.
Skillset:
  1. Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
  2. Proven leadership and management skills.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to interact constructively with diverse range of people.
  5. Strong Excel skills.
