Job Title: Material Handling Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Material Handling Specialist to join our team for an upcoming wind project.

This project presents an exciting opportunity for dedicated individuals who thrive in a dynamic work environment.

As a Material Handling Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to operate material handling equipment efficiently, safely, and effectively throughout the construction site.

Your expertise will significantly contribute to the advancement of our wind project, playing a vital role in the green energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to facilitate the transport of materials on the construction site.
  • Loading, unloading, and stacking materials according to required specifications, ensuring that safety and quality standards are maintained.
  • Conducting daily inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety compliance.
  • Collaborating with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate logistics and construction processes.
  • Adhering to all safety regulations and protocols to promote a safe working environment.
  • Documenting and reporting any incidents or near misses promptly to site management.
  • Assisting with inventory control processes, ensuring accurate tracking of materials and supplies.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience operating material handling equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Valid certification or license to operate material handling equipment, as per local regulations.
  • A strong understanding of safety practices and regulations related to material handling operations.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment is a plus.
  • Excellent spatial awareness and strong problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as required.
