Farm Manager Position Overview

NDC Personnel & Contractors is seeking an experienced Farm Manager for a prominent agricultural company in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of an 80+-hectare fruit farm, ensuring effective resource management and high-quality output. With a focus on modern agriculture, this role requires a hands-on approach to farm management, including production scheduling, pest control, and irrigation management, while leading and developing a high-performance team. Key responsibilities include

* Resource Management: Ensure optimal allocation of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
* Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to guarantee high-quality produce.
* Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performance team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
* Financial Management: Manage farm finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture or Forestry, with 5-7 years of practical experience in farm management. Advanced computer skills and knowledge of audit standards are crucial. Applicants must be physically fit, fluent in English, and willing to work overtime when needed.
