Sales Director - Media / Johannesburg (H/F)

  • About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our media sales team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize advertising revenue and sponsorship opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:
    Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize advertising revenue and sponsorship opportunities in South Africa.
  2. Advertising and Content Sales:
    Promote advertising products, including traditional advertising, special operations, branded content, events, and TV programs.
  3. Customer Relationship Management:
    Ensure high-quality customer service by understanding customer needs and offering tailored solutions.
  4. Management & Internal Coordination:
    Manage and drive a small sales team.

Requirements:

  • You have relevant experience in advertising sales, ideally in a media/TV, advertising, PR company, or similar.
  • You have proven experience in managing customer portfolios in South Africa.
  • You have excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • You have the ability to work independently while being an effective team player.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • You have a thorough understanding of the advertising market and media trends in South Africa.
