National Renal Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit Leader to join our team. As a Unit Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating improved quality nursing care and ensuring compliance to professional and ethical practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure growth of the business through effective marketing, communication, and education of stakeholders.
  • Manage financial policies and procedures, including patient and unit administration, CAPEX, equipment, budget planning, stock, and waste.
  • Ensure effective staff care by adhering to HR and payroll policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and conducive dialysis environment for optimal dialysis delivery.
  • Adhere to clinical policies and procedures and utilize quality initiatives for all patients under management.
  • Provide efficient customer service through proactive stakeholder and interdepartmental relationships.
  • Ensure ongoing education, training, and development of yourself and unit staff.
  • Optimize patient care in line with NRC's policies, procedures, best care practices, and quality initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/Midwife or Registration with HPCSA as a Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice).
  • Relevant qualification with a minimum of 5 years post-basic experience and proven leadership and/or people management experience within healthcare.
  • Basic understanding of labour legislation, financial, and change management principles.
  • Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation.
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office) essential.
  • Driver's license and own transport a must.
