About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for determining the quantum and merit of segmented non-motor claims by performing investigations, verifying event descriptions with clients, negotiating with stakeholders, and settling claims within a delegated threshold and according to contract conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Receiving instruction from Claims Service Consultants and conducting thorough investigations into claims;
- Verifying policy conditions and assessing risk to provide recommendations to underwriting;
- Planning routes for claims assessments, making arrangements, and contacting clients as needed;
- Determining what requires investigation and whether specialist expertise is required;
- Assessing risk and providing recommendations to underwriting;
- Interacting with stakeholders, including clients, brokers, service providers, and internal teams;
- MATRIC (Grade 12) with Mathematics;
- Short-term insurance qualification (NQF4) plus completed Digital Non-motor Assessors Skills Programme;
- Certified Fraud Examiner qualification advantageous;
- Five (5) years' or more relevant experience at digital non-motor level (full spectrum), field assessing experience advantageous;
- OR Seven (7) or more years' relevant claims assessment experience (non-motor) (full spectrum);
- All relevant product training completed;
- Familiarity with IM external systems;
- Ability to do investigations on buildings, its contents, and fire;
