- Closing Date- 8/11/2024- Description**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Orientate the student to the facility and the unit as required.
- Facilitate teaching and learning experience in clinical practice and assessment.
- Be available on the clinical site to supervise students.
- Participate in ongoing evaluation of the clinical learning experience.
- Monitor student movements and record keeping in the clinical practice.
- Maintain a portfolio of evidence of own activities and submit monthly or as required.
- Perform other clinical duties as assignments, such as practical sessions in the skills laboratory/simulation.
- Assist in the remediation of students.
- Liaise between the UFS School of Nursing and clinical practice.

**Inherent Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in nursing on NQF Level 8
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a professional nurse (General, Psychiatry, Community) and Midwife.
- Qualification in one of the following fields of specialisation: Primary Care Nursing or Occupational Health Nursing
- A minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in the area of specialisation.
- A valid driver's licence.

**Recommendations**:

- Additional qualifications in Nursing Education.
- Moderators and assessor's course.
- Registration as an assessor with the South African Nursing Council.
- Clinical facilitators or preceptorship course.
- Clinical facilitator experience.
- Master’s degree in nursing.
