Regional Facilities Manager

SET Recruitment Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Regional Facilities Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing multiple functions of building operations and maintenance of facilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated maintenance plans for a portfolio of office buildings and parks in the Cape Town region.
  • Provide technical and operational support to Portfolio and Operations Managers.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and conduct regular inspections to ensure buildings are in good condition.
  • Monitor installations and take-on and take-back inspections to ensure efficient and cost-effective service.
  • Project manage refurbishments, redevelopments, and redecorations of buildings to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
  • Manage staff activities and deliverables to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Share relevant information with the team and provide support to ensure effective communication.
  • Issue orders and process invoices to ensure timely payment and minimize financial risks.
  • Manage client-landlord relationships and respond to queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Effectively manage service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective service.
  • Conduct building inspections and optimize performance of buildings to reduce energy consumption and costs.
  • Monitor, investigate, and recover utilities to minimize financial losses.
  • Put procedures in place to mitigate risks and ensure buildings are compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Write reports and compile OPEX and Capex budgets to ensure accurate financial planning.
  • Proactively manage the life cycle of all assets in the portfolio and maintenance planning to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BSc in Construction or Facilities Management degree.
  • Strong experience in Property Facilities Management in commercial buildings.
