Academic Financial Accounting Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and learning in the area of Financial Accounting and Corporate Financial Reporting, including undergraduate and postgraduate students. They will also be required to undertake research and scholarly activities, supervise postgraduate students, and engage with professional bodies and other stakeholders.
Core CompetenciesThe ideal candidate will possess sound knowledge in the theory and application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), recent trends and developments in the field, and a proven track record of academic performance in the subject area. They will also have experience in facilitating learning for undergraduate and/or postgraduate students intending to qualify as Chartered Accountants (SA).

- Experience in facilitating learning for undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.
For the Professor rank, the candidate should be a Chartered Accountant (SA), possess a relevant doctoral degree specialising in Financial Accounting/Corporate Financial Reporting, and have at least 4-7 years of relevant working experience as an associate professor or related experience. For the Associate Professor rank, the candidate should be a Chartered Accountant (SA), possess a relevant Master's degree specialising in Financial Accounting/Corporate Financial Reporting, and have at least 4-7 years of relevant working experience.
