We are seeking a highly skilled High/Medium Voltage Technician to fill a permanent position in Randburg, Gauteng. The ideal candidate should have a degree, national diploma, N6 or BTech in Electrical Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years of experience as a High/Medium Voltage Technician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, service, and perform preventative maintenance on medium and high voltage electrical equipment to ensure quality and performance standards.
  • Conduct calibration procedures and maintain calibration records.
  • Read and interpret electronic technical drawings and circuit diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic components down to board level.
  • Perform mechanical tasks such as building Test Trailers when necessary.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and peers, as well as perform necessary administrative duties such as report writing accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and calibration activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication.
  • Willingness to travel and work onsite as required.
Requirements
  • Degree, national diploma, N6 or BTech in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience as a High/Medium Voltage technician.
  • Proficient in reading electronic technical drawings and circuit diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of electronic components and their functions in circuit diagrams.
  • Familiarity with calibration procedures.
  • Ability to perform repairs down to the board level.
  • Willingness to engage in mechanical work, including building Test Trailers when required.
  • Strong initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills to interact effectively with customers.
  • Valid driver's license, passport, and own transport.
  • Willingness to travel and work onsite.
