Job Description


This National Player Relationship Manager position at Latitude Resource involves building and maintaining strong relationships between the organisation and its players, as well as providing general services to the players.



Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular visits and roadshows to players, unions, and franchises to promote and explain benefit partner deals.
  • Attend to general player and agent enquiries, monitoring applications and enforcing commercial agreements.
  • Manage disciplinary hearings with and for players, arrange charity fund activations, and manage membership databases.
  • Act as the first point of call for players regarding financial services, managing pension fund enquiries, GAP cover claims, and injury insurance communications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments through ad-hoc product/industry training seminars and comply with financial services CPD requirements.


Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Law, Commerce, Social Science, or equivalent is highly desirable, but relevant skills and experience will be considered.
  • A completed RE5 qualification is a major advantage, but not essential. Relevant experience in player management, financial services, and professional rugby playing or sport background is required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presenting communication skills, fluent verbal communication skills in Xhosa or Zulu, and ability to travel locally and internationally are essential.
  • A valid driver's license and own transport are necessary.
  • A passion for rugby and sport, as well as people, is required.
