About the Position:

As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in managing financial records for our clients. This position requires expertise in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role offers flexibility while being part of a growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable efficiently, ensuring timely payments and reconciliations.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to optimize financial management.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and statements, providing valuable insights for business decisions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, highlighting key performance indicators.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations, maintaining the organization's reputation.
  • Collaborate with accountants to assist with audits and tax returns, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support the preparation of financial data for budgeting and forecasting, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on the organization's financial status, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Handle payroll and other administrative financial tasks, ensuring timely payments and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in financial management.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and compliance, including labor laws and regulations.
  • Experience with audits and tax filings is an advantage, demonstrating expertise in financial management.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
