Cloud Governance and Cost Analyst

Are you passionate about cloud technology and cost optimization? We're seeking a skilled Cloud Governance and Cost Analyst to join our dynamic team at IOCO. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for establishing and enforcing cloud governance policies, optimizing cloud costs, and ensuring that cloud resources are used efficiently, securely, and in compliance with organisational and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Azure and Oracle monthly consumption cost capturing and forecasting
  • MOA document preparation and departmental billing claim back letters preparation
  • Management meeting minutes review and preparation
  • Technology selection research and Azure/Oracle service request costing
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to define and document cloud governance policies and guidelines
  • Proficient management and analysis of cloud costs, billing, and expenses
  • Establishment and maintenance of a tagging system for cloud resources
  • Work with operational teams to align on provisioning and decommissioning of cloud resources
  • Monitoring of cloud service licensing and compliance with licensing agreements and regulations
  • Implementation of strategies for cost optimisation
  • Work with security and compliance teams to ensure cloud resources meet security and compliance standards
  • Continuous assessment and mitigation of risks associated with cloud resources and services
  • Guidance and training to cloud users and administrators
  • Utilization of cloud governance and cost management tools and platforms
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of cloud services and cloud providers, such as Azure and Oracle Cloud
  • Knowledge of cloud governance best practices and principles
  • Experience in cloud cost management, including billing analysis, budgeting, and cost optimisation
  • Understanding of cloud security and compliance standards
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
