Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Social Media and Content Creator to join our team at Red Carnation Hotel Collection in Southern Africa. As the ideal candidate, you will be responsible for assisting the general social media department within our properties in Southern Africa, helping to execute our overall global social media strategy through organisation and scheduling of social content, content creation within our hotels, and developing creative ideas to grow our social channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Content Creation: You will be responsible for shooting video and photo content on iPhone within our South African-based hotels, editing reels and selecting images for posts.

Social Scheduling and Listening: You will write captions in the RCH tone of voice and use Hootsuite to schedule daily content for all global properties, monitor and respond to brand mentions across all channels, for the Head of Social Media to approve.

UGC Management: You will use Stackla to moderate all property widgets and ensure they are up to date, as well as manage rights to UGC content.

Influencer Management: You will work closely with the Head of Social Media to invite and approve any influencer/talent requests, either through Instagram or our influencer management tool - Jerne.

Paid Social Assistance: You will work closely with the Head of Social Media to create assets and copy for paid social media posts when required.

Reporting Assistance: You will work closely with the Head of Social Media to pull key statistics and figures for monthly hotel social media reports when required.

Global Monthly Calls: You will join a monthly global call with the rest of the Global Social Team to update other team members on monthly social activity and upcoming plans.

Requirements:

Knowledge: You will need knowledge of social media platforms, content creation, analytics, communication skills, creativity, organisational skills, and customer service skills.

Experience: Previous experience in social media management or digital marketing is advantageous.

Key Attributes:

Adaptability: You will need to be able to adapt to changes quickly and efficiently.

Social Media Analytics: You will need to understand social media analytics to measure the success of campaigns and make data-driven decisions for future strategies.

Effective Communication: Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, is essential for engaging with followers and conveying the brand's message.

Social Media Strategy: You will be able to develop and execute social media strategies aligned with the overall marketing goals of the organisation.

Quality Control: You will ensure that all content published on social media platforms is of high quality and error-free.

Audience Focus: You will put the needs and preferences of the target audience at the forefront of social media efforts.

Collaboration: You will collaborate with other members of the sales and marketing team, as well as other departments, to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency across all channels.
