Job Summary

OMNIA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team. As a Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for controlling and ensuring the optimal operation of the site within specified parameters and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage operational staff and liaise with contractors to ensure the smooth operation of the site.
  • Oversee production, safety, budgets, audits, warehousing/distribution of products and raw material manning, supervision, and contract management.
  • Maintain loss Control Policy for area of responsibility and institute corrective action where necessary.
  • Develop and execute the plant manufacturing budgets.
  • Participate and prepare for audits ensuring compliance.
  • Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quantity and quality.
  • Control and optimize raw material deliveries, dispatch, and delivery of product.
  • Work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Manager to ensure all members of the team are aware of safety policies to provide a safe workplace for our employees.
  • Maintain and support a superior safety and housekeeping program, including all timely communication initiatives.
  • Develop and lead the continuous improvement activities within the team.
  • Deal with staff issues and concerns.
  • Planning, developing, and training of production staff.
  • Management meetings.
  • Interface extensively with the Marketing and Client environments.
  • Oversee the warehousing/distribution of products.

Requirements

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification.
  • 3 - 5 years' relevant experience within a Liquid Fertilizer Facility.
  • Production experience will be beneficial.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude would be beneficial.
  • Strong experience of Supply Chain Management (including expediting, lead-time reduction, inventory management, packaging & shipping).
