About the Role

Vestas is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Supervisor to join our team in Dassiesridge Wind Farm. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of assigned staff to ensure delivery of services on an operational level.
  • Establish and maintain a positive and effective working relationship with staff, external service providers, and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with Vestas standards, regional laws, and regulations.
  • Manage resource availability and perform daily management of dedicated staff.
  • Implement defined function-specific processes, procedures, and tools.
  • Monitor technician performance and task execution to ensure effective cost control.
  • Approve work performed and technician timesheets.
  • Process technician requests for planned absence.
  • Manage service crew composition and monitor site performance.
  • Perform inductions for contractors and approve working hours of technicians and sub-contractors.
  • Provide 1st level technical support to technicians and complete reports and paperwork as required.

Requirements

  • Post-Matric Engineering qualification (National higher Diploma, National Diploma, Trade Test, BTech or equivalent as a minimum).
  • Minimum 3 years related work experience within the wind industry.
  • Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English; additional local language skills are an advantage.
  • Ability to work efficiently with Microsoft Office software and SAP ERP.
  • Strong wind turbine technical acumen and a driver's license.
