Electrical Site Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join our team at a leading subcontractor to the construction sector. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of contracts (JCBB, FIDIC, NEC) and supervising construction electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise construction electrical projects and ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage a team of electricians and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete the project.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available for the project.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage and resolve conflicts and issues that arise during the project.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements:
  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (N6) and a recognised trade test and valid wireman's license.
  • 3-5 years in project management and 5+ years in electrical construction site and project supervision.
  • Working knowledge of contract management, including JCBB, FIDIC, and NEC.
  • Proven experience in PV design and installation of residential projects, as well as experience in MV/LV reticulation projects, MV terminations, switching and jointing.
  • Proven experience in sub-contractor management, as well as managing projects finances, quality, HSE, planning, permit applications, material/labour/equipment schedules per site and site/report administration.
  • Expert software skills in MS Projects and MS Office.
  • Valid driver's licence, own car, and a clear criminal and credit record.
