Job Title: Store Manager

At The Building Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail operations and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to drive profitability and growth
  • Manage and motivate a team of employees to achieve sales and customer service targets
  • Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Ensure efficient stock control, procurement, and merchandising practices
  • Implement and maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Preferably a commerce bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of retail experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a junior-mid level management position
  • Previous industry-related experience and financial acumen
  • Strong logistics and procurement skills, with knowledge of merchandising principles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure
