The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in managing non-profit organizations. They will be responsible for overseeing the growth of the SACAP Foundation's projects, introducing effective management practices, and capacitating teams to achieve strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the SACAP Foundation's mission and objectives.
  2. Lead fundraising efforts and build relationships with donors to secure funding for projects.
  3. Engage in strategic role-playing to navigate the mental health landscape in South Africa and develop the SACAP Foundation as an effective advocate for mental health access.
  4. Pursue new income-generating opportunities and shape partnership activities to ensure alignment with the organization's mission.
  5. Report to the Foundation Board on project strategy, operations, performance, and finances.
  6. Oversee legal requirements and ensure compliance with the Foundation's legal status as an NPO.

Requirements

  1. Master's degree in a relevant field, such as psychology or social work.
  2. At least 5 years' experience in managing non-profit organizations, with a focus on mental health.
  3. Proven track record of successful project management and fundraising.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
  5. Proficiency in using CMS, Google Suite, and Excel.
  6. Ability to create indicators for visionary ideas and develop budgets.
  7. Experience with Monitoring and Evaluation systems.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position operating from Mondays to Fridays, with flexible hours as needed to perform duties.
