Job Title: Talent Development Consultant

As part of the People Shared Services team at TFG Human Resources, the Talent Development Consultant plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional employee experiences. The primary responsibility is to implement talent development operational activities within skills development, learning design, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver talent development activities for skills development, learning design, and delivery, ensuring the end-to-end instructional design of all training requirements.
  • Manage SETA funded programs, BBBEE scorecard improvements, program completion, and absorption, and track all SETA activities to meet reporting requirements.
  • Ensure the end-to-end delivery of TFG funded learning and development interventions, either internally or externally.
  • Identify and manage potential risks related to talent development activities.
  • Focus on identifying opportunities for improvement in talent development processes.
  • Escalate any deviations to policy and company practice in a timely manner.
  • Assist broader People Shared Services as needed.
Requirements:
  • HR degree or relevant qualification.
  • More than 5 years of functional experience in talent development across the board.
  • Working understanding of skills development, learning design, and delivery.
  • Registered as a Skills Development Facilitator.
  • Proven experience in managing SETA funded programs end-to-end.
  • Solid experience in learning design and learning delivery.
  • Effective project management, processes, and timelines.
  • Passionate about user experience and customer service.
  • Planning and organizing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A 'can-do' attitude with high service delivery.
  • Continuous improvement performance mindset.
  • Understanding of related policies and legislation and retail context.

Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
