Young Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Young Talent Specialist: CIB role is responsible for sourcing and supporting Nedbank Bursary and Graduate programmes in line with Group Talent Acquisition and overall Integrated Talent Management philosophies. This includes assisting in the realisation of Nedbank's transformation objectives by building a sustainable pipeline of leadership and specialist talent for the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop an understanding of young talent requirements across the cluster and define a compelling value proposition for the young talent segment.
- Partner with HR stakeholders to develop a cluster young talent strategy and fit-for-purpose young talent solutions to meet business requirements.
- Translate strategy and business requirements into operational plans with clear delivery milestones for the attraction, acquisition, and development of young talent.
- Ensure timing of intakes and development of cohorts aligns with business calendars and integrates with business needs.
- Create and document effective processes and practices for young talent recruitment and development.
- Integrate and manage all young talent programmes, including YES, internships, learnerships, and graduate programmes.
- Identify and develop alternative sources of young talent outside of formal education structures to provide talent pipelines into scarce and critical talent pools.
- Liaise with Group HR Specialist, Talent Acquisition and Attraction, Learning, and CIB Marketing to oversee recruitment, onboarding, and development of graduates.
- Manage CIB graduates on a day-to-day basis, including performance management and overseeing development activities.
- Develop relationships with university student offices, faculties, and relevant industry bodies to create awareness of Nedbank CIB's young talent offering and career opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including SAGEA and Golden Key.
- Develop relationships with HR partners and business as a trusted young talent SME.
- Develop relationships with Nedbank Group stakeholders and represent CIB at relevant Group forums.
- Provide input into and negotiate young talent recruitment hiring and ongoing talent development budgets.
- Manage young talent operational budgets and associated reporting.
- Show business and commercial impact of young talent solutions and continuously improve this over time.
- Ensure alignment of all young talent practices and processes to Nedbank Group and Regulatory requirements.
- Apply the organisation's risk and governance frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in related fields, such as Business or Human Resource Management, or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
- At least 5 years' experience delivering young talent development and recruitment processes from beginning to end.
- Proven track record in developing young talent pipelines.
- 5 years' previous talent management expertise, preferably for a young talent cohort.
- Project management experience with exposure to agile delivery management preferred.
