Job Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Registrar at the University of Pretoria.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight to various departments within the university, including governance, compliance, academic administration, and student affairs.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional risk management.
  • Oversee the Secretariat, responsible for meeting management, minute-taking, and record-keeping for Council, Senate, and Executive Committee meetings.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to the Vice-Chancellor and Principal on matters related to governance and compliance.
  • Exercise strategic leadership over the Department of Institutional Advancement, including alumni relations, fundraising, communications, and marketing.
  • Lead the Department of Enrolment and Student Administration, ensuring seamless student life-cycle management from recruitment to graduation.
