This role plays a vital part in delivering comprehensive accounting services to the Group Accountant within the esteemed wine estate conglomerate.

About the Role

The selected candidate will report directly to the Group Accountant and be responsible for providing essential accounting support to the entire group.

Key responsibilities include:

  • managing intercompany invoicing among various Group entities.
  • processing invoices from P2P, Woolworths, international agents, and suppliers, while performing set-off journal entries against corresponding Debtors. Responsible for reconciliations of associated Customer/Supplier Ledgers.
  • handling invoicing for Capital sales, bulk wine, and grape sales.
  • executing general journal entries in Pastel Evolution for the entire group.
  • performing weekly bank transaction processing and monthly bank account reconciliations.
  • preparing monthly Sales Reports for the Group.
  • completing Reserve Bank quarterly reports and annual reports for Stats SA.
  • generating Pastel Evolution Reports for other departments upon request.
  • responsible for reconciling fixed asset registers across the Group and executing depreciation/amortization journal entries.
  • assisting in preparing the documentation required by auditors for the annual audits of the Group.
  • contributing to balance sheet reconciliations.
  • managing all foreign supplier invoices, including payments and set-offs.
  • providing support to the Group Accountant and Financial Manager for various ad-hoc financial tasks.

What We Offer

Remuneration: R22 000 - R32 000 per month, depending on experience.
