Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Operations Director to join our team at Communicate Recruitment. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily business activities and developing strategic plans to achieve company objectives.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position that requires strong financial management skills, operational expertise, and excellent communication abilities. As a Strategic Operations Director, you will lead the development of comprehensive financial plans, oversee budgeting processes, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and improve efficiency
  • Manage budgets, track targets, and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders
  • Lead operational value chains, addressing inefficiencies and implementing process improvements
  • Drive innovations to enhance productivity and optimize cost-effectiveness
  • Improve customer satisfaction by ensuring operational and financial targets are met
  • Lead stock management processes, ensuring accuracy and balance
  • Maintain and optimize fixed assets, ensuring sustainability and efficiency
  • Engage with vendors and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and explore new business opportunities
  • Manage team performance through hiring, training, motivating, and mentoring staff
  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance and risk management protocols

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 5 years of experience in financial and operational management within FMCG or manufacturing environments
  • A strong understanding of IFRS, financial accounting, and management systems
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel with excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and motivational abilities, with a focus on staff development and productivity
  • Experience in risk analysis, budget processes, and corporate governance

Qualifications

You will require:

  • A BCom Financial Qualification or Business/Commercial Management degree
  • Completed articles with a focus on financial accounting

Salary

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
