We are seeking a highly skilled Marketplace Data Analyst to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for devising frameworks for annual commercial and strategic planning for Marketplace, including the development of new appropriate key performance metrics.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and compiling the analysis of yearly performance metrics as specified by the commercial and strategic plan for Marketplace.
  • Compiling business specifications for the development of required Marketplace Business Intelligence dashboards.
  • Providing analytical support to other Marketplace functional areas, where analysis or technical advice is required.
  • Helping to spread technical knowledge and skills throughout the Marketplace team, through hands-on guidance and teaching.
  • Developing business working business systems for areas within Retail and Marketplace, in cases where Takealot Engineering are not able to develop required proprietary systems in a constrained timeframe.
  • Documentation and maintenance of Marketplace shared knowledge and SOPs, especially where technically complex.
  • Regular reporting and showcasing insights.
  • Project management.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor or Honours Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years analytical, finance or management consulting experience.
