Data Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at ABC Worldwide. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data quality best practices and guidelines
  • Analyse data for compliance to design specifications and identify quality issues
  • Provide accurate and appropriate interpretation of data and apply knowledge to evaluation and analysis
  • Perform root cause analysis on data issues and recommend data quality controls and long-term solutions
  • Review and enhance documentation workflows and SQL/ETL code
  • Assist with improving automated data quality processes and alerts on data sets and reports
  • Actively communicate with internal and external stakeholders on quality issues related to data collection, storage, processing, and use

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience as an Analyst or in Data Quality Management/Validation
  • 1-3 years of experience in ETL Scheduling & Migration (preferably Pentaho/Talend)
  • 1-3 years of experience in MySQL/SQL
  • 1-3 years of experience in Tableau
  • 1-3 years of experience in Google Suite + Microsoft Office

Desirable Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with key stakeholders
  • Problem-solving and diagnostic acumen, strong analytical mindset
  • Acute attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to self-learn and develop required skills
