Job Overview

The B-BBEE Technical Signatory will play a pivotal role in our verification team at RB Consulting. This position is responsible for the technical review and signing off on B-BBEE certificates and verification reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance with relevant legislation, and alignment with our systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verification Services Delivery: Implement documented systems and procedures to deliver verification services.
  • Project Management: Manage project-specific verification teams and associated timelines.
  • Technical Review: Review and sign off on B-BBEE verification certificates and reports.
  • Compliance: Ensure all verifications are conducted in compliance with the B-BBEE Act, Codes of Good Practice, and relevant Sector Codes.
  • Technical Guidance: Conduct detailed independent technical reviews of verification documentation and processes.
  • Team Support: Provide guidance and support to the verification team on technical matters and interpretation of B-BBEE codes.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes and developments in B-BBEE legislation and codes.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients to clarify and resolve any issues related to B-BBEE verification.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct internal quality checks and audits to ensure the accuracy and reliability of verification outcomes.
  • Management System Development: Assist in the development and implementation of management systems.
  • Team Supervision: Guide, supervise, and review work performed by analysts.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training and development programs to enhance the technical skills of the verification team.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document control, scorecard validation, WIP control, and reporting, timesheet control and reporting.
  • Complex Ownership Analysis: Analyze complex ownership structures.
  • Technical Signatory Supervision: Supervise newly appointed technical signatories.
  • Technical Queries: Co-ordinate technical queries with ABP, DTI, and B-BBEE Commission.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Law, or Economics.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in B-BBEE verification or a related field.
  • Technical Signatory Accreditation: Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Technical Signatory.
  • Accreditation: Accreditation as a Technical Signatory by SANAS.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the B-BBEE Act, Codes of Good Practice, and Sector Codes.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
