Pro Select Consulting seeks an experienced Senior Retail Store Operations Manager to oversee store activities and drive sales growth in multiple apparel stores across South Africa.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, with expertise in staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service. The selected individual will be responsible for creating work schedules, evaluating employee performance, and ensuring adherence to company policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales performance, increase revenue, and achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer interactions, using data insights to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with higher management to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance store efficiency and productivity.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, providing constructive feedback and coaching to ensure employee growth and development.
  • Monitor cash transactions, manage cash registers, and maintain accurate financial records to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Schedule shifts, manage time-off requests, and maintain open communication with employees to ensure smooth store operations.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, staff supervision, and customer service principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving business objectives and driving sales growth.
  • Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
